METL's mechanical testing lab is equipped for computer controlled tensile testing, charpy impact testing, stress rupture testing, rockwell and brinell hardness testing, hydrogen embrittlement, proof, bend, shear, compression/deflection, torque, and fatigue (HCF and LCF) testing. Elevated temperature (to 2000°F) impact, tensile and fatigue tests are also available.
METL's mechanical testing lab is equipped with our own internal machine shop, which is capable of preparing precision test specimens from a wide variety of materials. We offer CNC machining, low stress grinding, EDM and sectioning. This capability ensures quick turnaround and reasonable prices for high quality test specimens.
